About This Botanical

Also sold as the Tricolor Peperomia, Ginny is a sport of Peperomia clusiifolia — same rainforest-understory tolerance as its cousins, but the pink edging gets more vivid the more light it gets. In lower light it stays green and cream; give it bright indirect light and the color shows up.

Care: Bright indirect light keeps the pink edges vivid. Let the top half of the soil dry between waterings, since the fleshy leaves store water. Use a fast-draining mix.

Common Question Care Clarification

“Why did the pink edge on my leaves fade?”

Not enough light. The coloring is light-dependent, not permanent — move it somewhere brighter and new growth comes back with more color.
