Why the mix is chunky
Bagged peat alone holds water against the root. Aroids and most of what Palma sells want air in the pot: bark and perlite or pumice so the pour can leave. This calculator batches that ratio to the pot you have. It is a starting recipe, not a religion. Drainage hole still required.
