Prayer Plant 'Lemon Lime' (Maranta leuconeura)
Maranta leuconeura 'Lemon Lime'
Feathered lime-green veins on deep green leaves that fold up every evening.
About This Botanical
The Prayer Plant 'Lemon Lime' (Maranta leuconeura) has oval, deep green leaves painted with bright lime-green herringbone veins. Like every true prayer plant, it moves: the leaves lie flat by day and fold upward at night, a daily rhythm called nyctinasty.
It stays compact (about 10–12" tall) and slowly spills over the pot edge, so it works on a shelf, a desk or in a hanging pot. Give it medium to bright indirect light, keep the soil lightly and evenly moist, and use filtered or rain water if the leaf tips start to brown. ASPCA lists Maranta leuconeura (prayer plant) as non-toxic to cats and dogs; as with any plant, eating it can still cause mild stomach upset.
Ships in a nursery grow pot. Every plant is covered by our 30-day Live Arrival Guarantee. New to prayer plants? Read our prayer plant care guide.
