About This Botanical
The Scindapsus Pictus Exotica (Scindapsus pictus 'Exotica'), available in 4" and 6" nursery pots, is often called Silver Splash for its broad, shimmering silver variegation over velvety matte-green foliage. This trailing vine adds luxurious tropical texture to any room.
How to Care for Scindapsus Exotica: Give it bright, indirect sunlight to encourage strong growth and dense silver leaf coverage. Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. After your plant outgrows its pot, repot into a porous, well-draining aroid soil mix with pumice or perlite.
Identification: Exotica is Scindapsus pictus, not Epipremnum, featuring substantially larger, curved leaves with heavy metallic silver splash patterns.
Pet Safety: Contains calcium oxalate crystals; harmful to cats and dogs if ingested.
