ASPCA doesn't list this exact plant, but every Philodendron it does list is toxic to dogs and cats, so treat it the same. A general advisory, not veterinary advice: keep it out of reach. Check pet guidance

A feathery, deeply cut philodendron that looks like nothing else on the shelf. Philodendron 'Tortum' has slender, finger-like leaf lobes on long stalks, which gives it a light, almost fern-like silhouette. It is a newer collector's plant, and this guide covers philodendron tortum care from light to support.

Why you'll like it

Most philodendrons have broad, heart-shaped leaves. Tortum's narrow, sword-like lobes give you a sculptural, airy texture that stands out next to bolder foliage, and it is considered a relatively easy plant once it has the right light.

What you get

A live Philodendron 'Tortum' in a 4" grower's nursery pot. It is a young plant, and the leaf cutting will deepen as it grows.

Is Philodendron tortum hard to care for?
No. Give it bright, filtered light, a chunky well-draining mix and water when the top few inches of soil are dry. Add humidity if the leaf tips dry out.

Does Philodendron tortum need a moss pole?
A pole is optional while the plant is small. As the stems get longer, a pole or other support keeps it upright and tidy.

Why are the leaves on my Tortum turning yellow?
Yellow leaves usually mean the soil stays too wet. Let it dry more between waterings and make sure the pot drains well.
