Variegated Monstera Adansonii (Monstera adansonii 'Variegata')
Monstera adansonii 'Variegata'
The holey Swiss cheese vine, marbled and splashed with cream.
About This Botanical
This is the variegated form of Monstera adansonii, the Swiss cheese vine. The leaves have the same oval holes as the plain green plant, with cream marbling and sometimes whole cream sections. The pattern varies from leaf to leaf, so every plant looks different.
It grows as a vine. Let it trail from a shelf, or give it a small pole or trellis and it will climb. Variegated plants grow more slowly and need brighter light than green ones, and the cream areas can brown if the soil stays dry for too long or the air is very dry. Water when the top inch or two of soil is dry.
We only have a small number of these. Ships in the grower's 4 inch plastic nursery pot.

“Will the variegation stay?”
The amount of cream changes from leaf to leaf. Bright indirect light helps it keep variegated growth. If a vine puts out several all-green leaves in a row, trim back to the last variegated leaf.
