Calathea 'Vittata'
Goeppertia elliptica 'Vittata' (sold as Calathea)
About This Botanical
Calathea 'Vittata' has pointed, bright green leaves with thin white stripes running out from the center vein. It grows upright and fairly narrow, so it fits tight spots.
Calatheas are known for being a little fussy, and most problems come down to water and air. They like evenly moist soil, filtered or distilled water if your tap water is hard, and higher humidity than most homes have in winter. Crispy brown edges usually mean dry air or minerals in the water. Keep them in bright indirect light; direct sun fades and scorches the leaves.
Ships in the grower's plastic nursery pot.
