Hawaiian Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum 'Hawaiian')
Chlorophytum comosum 'Hawaiian'
Wide, arching leaves striped green and gold, with baby plants on long stems.
About This Botanical
The Hawaiian spider plant is a wider-leaved take on the classic. Its leaves are broader and softer than the common striped type, with green centers and cream to gold edges that turn more golden in brighter light. Once it settles in, it sends out long stems with small plantlets on the ends, which you can root in water or leave hanging.
People call spider plants unkillable, and they come close, as long as you don't keep the soil wet. Water when the top inch dries out and let the extra drain away. Brown tips usually mean dry air or minerals in tap water, and they don't hurt the plant.
Ships in a 4" grower's nursery pot.
