How this watering calculator works
It does not give you a calendar. It sizes a pour and a check interval from species, pot, light, and season. The rule on Palma pages stays the same: water when the top 1–2 inches of mix are dry, then adjust. The number you get here is a starting guess for your pot, not “every Monday.”
More light (higher DLI) shortens the interval. A bigger pot lengthens it. Winter lengthens it again. If the tool and the finger disagree, believe the finger. Light estimate: light guide / DLI tool.
