Philodendron Selloum Seeds (Split Leaf Philodendron)
Houseplant Seeds
About This Botanical
Twenty Philodendron selloum seeds. This is the split leaf philodendron: over time it becomes a large plant, 4 to 10 feet, with giant, deeply cut leaves. It is slow to start and very rewarding to grow.
Seed facts
• Germination difficulty: advanced (the grown plant is easy)
• Sprouts in: 14 to 60 days
• Depth: 1/4 to 1/2 inch, 2 to 3 seeds per pot or soil pod
• Temperature: 70 to 85°F
• Mature plant in: 1 to 2 years
How to sow: soak the seeds in water for 12 to 48 hours. Sow in very moist mix, cover with a humidity dome, and keep above 70°F out of direct sun; grow lights or filtered light work best. Start lifting the dome once the seeds sprout. Plant soon after arrival, because these seeds lose viability in storage.
Seeds are packed for the 2026 growing season.
