Monstera Deliciosa Seeds (Swiss Cheese Plant)
Houseplant Seeds
About This Botanical
Ten Monstera deliciosa seeds for growers who want to raise a Swiss cheese plant from the very start. Fresh seed sprouts readily when it is kept warm and moist.
How to sow
• Soak in warm water for 12 to 24 hours (optional).
• Sow 1 to 2 seeds per soil pod or 3-inch nursery pot, 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep, in moist potting mix.
• Cover with a humidity dome, keep the mix above 70°F, and keep the pot out of direct sun.
What to expect: sprouting in about 1 to 8 weeks. The first leaves are solid; the splits that give the plant its name develop as it matures. Monstera seeds do not store well, so sow soon. If you can't plant them right away, keep them in damp sphagnum moss in a bag in the fridge.
Difficulty: intermediate. Seeds are packed for the 2026 growing season.
