About This Botanical

Raise a Monstera deliciosa, the Swiss cheese plant, from the very first leaf. This kit has everything you need to sow, so you can watch a seed become a seedling and, over the following months, a young monstera.

What's included

•  1 packet of 10 Monstera deliciosa seeds
•  1 greenhouse planter
•  1 coconut fiber soil pod
•  1 care guide

How to start

•  Soak the seeds in warm water for 12 to 24 hours (optional).
•  Place 1 to 2 seeds in the moistened soil pod, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep.
•  Keep the lid on, the mix moist, and the planter above 70°F in bright, indirect light.

What to expect: seeds sprout in roughly 1 to 8 weeks. Young monstera leaves are solid and heart-shaped. The famous splits appear as the plant matures, usually after several months. Sow soon after arrival, because monstera seeds do not store well.

Seeds are packed for the 2026 growing season.

Common questions

How do you care for a Monstera deliciosa seedling?
Give it bright, indirect light, warmth above 65°F and evenly moist (never soggy) mix. Once it has two or three leaves, lift the lid for a few hours a day to adjust it to room air, then move it to a small pot with drainage.

Grow it your way

•  Monstera Deliciosa Seeds
•  live Monstera Deliciosa
•  Grow Kits

Complete your setup: once seedlings have a few true leaves, move them into a pot from our Small Planters and feed lightly with Organic All-Purpose Plant Food.
