Lipstick Plant 'Black Pagoda' (Aeschynanthus)
Aeschynanthus 'Black Pagoda'
Trailing stems of marbled leaves with deep purple undersides — and pet-safe.
About This Botanical
The Lipstick Plant 'Black Pagoda' (Aeschynanthus) is a trailing epiphyte with waxy leaves marbled in green and dark burgundy, with deep purple undersides. In bright light it produces tubular flowers along the stems. It looks its best spilling from a hanging pot or high shelf.
Give it bright indirect light (more light means more flowers), and water when the top inch or two of soil is dry. It prefers warmth and moderate humidity, and should be kept out of cold drafts. ASPCA lists lipstick plant (Aeschynanthus) as non-toxic to cats and dogs; as with any plant, eating it can still cause mild stomach upset.
Ships in a nursery grow pot, covered by our 30-day Live Arrival Guarantee.
